Bauke teaches courses at various levels within the biology-related chemical domain.
- Bio-Organic Chemistry
(6 ECTS, BSc level, 2nd year):
This course treats the chemistry of the five classes of biomolecules (nucleotides, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, secondary metabolites), bioconjugation chemistry, and the chemical aspects of various metabolic pathways. - Chemical Biology
(3 ECTS, MSc level):
Covering various topics on chemical approaches to study protein degradation (ubiquitination), phosphorylation, glycosylation, oxidation, and even the effects of small molecules on genomics. Given with Jacques Vervoort, Floris van Delft, and Richard Immink. - Metal Complex Coordination Chemistry & Characterization
(6 ECTS, MSc level):
On various chemical and biomedical aspects of metal complexes. Given with Aldrik Velders, Vittorio Saggiomo, Anton Bunschoten (all from BioNanoTechnology), and Maarten Smulders (Organic Chemistry).
Bauke teaches a part on the topic of bio-organometallic chemistry.
- Lecture contributions in the following courses:
- Bio-Organic Chemistry for Life Sciences (3 ECTS, 1st year BSc)
- Environmental Analytical Techniques (6 ECTS)
- Advanced Organic Chemistry course for PhD-students.
